This section highlights my approach to managing the core components of a successful golf operation while consistently enhancing the member and guest experience. From daily play to large-scale events and programming, my focus is on delivering a well-organized, service-driven environment that reflects the expectations of a private club. The following areas demonstrate how I balance operational efficiency with creativity and attention to detail.
I take pride in executing tournaments that are organized, efficient, and enjoyable for all participants. From planning and registration to scoring and post-event follow-up, I focus on delivering a seamless experience for members and guests. Attention to detail and clear communication ensure that each event reflects the club’s standards and enhances overall engagement.
I also believe it is the unique elements—custom trophies, thoughtful gifts, and memorable finishing touches—that distinguish exceptional events. Club tournaments serve not only as competitive opportunities, but as key moments for members to showcase their club to guests while strengthening camaraderie within the membership.
Tournament Operations
Merchandising
I approach merchandising with a focus on aligning the golf shop with the club’s brand and the preferences of its membership. This includes thoughtful product selection, strong vendor partnerships, and maintaining a clean, inviting retail environment. The goal is to create a shop experience that enhances the overall club atmosphere while contributing to overall financial performance.
Understanding member preferences and spending habits is essential to driving effective inventory decisions and healthy turnover. Visual merchandising plays a critical role in shaping perception and increasing sales, and I prioritize maintaining a well-organized shop with clean, cohesive displays. Incorporating unique accessories and lifestyle items further enhances the retail offering, creating a comprehensive, one-stop shopping experience for members.
I have also implemented initiatives designed to elevate both the member experience and retail performance, including the development of a members-only logo program, a tour-level locker stock program, and the launch of an online golf shop. These efforts have expanded access, strengthened club identity, and created additional revenue opportunities.
Instruction
Instruction plays an important role in both player development and member engagement. I strive to create an approachable, results-driven learning environment through individual lessons, clinics, and comprehensive player development programs. By tailoring instruction to all skill levels, I aim to grow the game while strengthening connections within the membership.
My teaching philosophy takes a holistic approach, incorporating all aspects of performance—including full swing, short game, course management, mental approach, routine, fitness, and club fitting. Many players focus heavily on the full swing, often overlooking areas that can more quickly improve scoring and overall enjoyment.
I also prioritize continuing education to stay current with advancements in instruction and technology, ensuring I can provide the most effective tools and insights to help players improve.
Member trips provide a unique opportunity to extend the club experience beyond the property while building stronger relationships within the membership. I plan and lead trips that are well-organized, memorable, and aligned with the club’s culture, offering members access to premier golf destinations.
These experiences foster camaraderie and deepen connections, both during the trips and back at the club. I approach trip planning with the same level of detail and execution as the club’s tournament program. Regular interaction with members—whether on trips or through casual rounds at the club—further strengthens trust and long-term relationships.

Outings present an opportunity to showcase the club while generating meaningful revenue and exposure. I oversee all aspects of outing operations, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for outside groups while maintaining the integrity of the member experience.
My approach emphasizes organization, hospitality, and relationship management. I view every outing as a potential membership recruitment opportunity and ensure that these events reflect the club at the highest level. My experience includes managing agreements, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and final billing.
