Industry & Professional Involvement
This section reflects my commitment to remaining actively engaged within the golf industry and contributing beyond the day-to-day operations of the club. Ongoing involvement in media, professional networks, and industry initiatives allows me to stay current with emerging trends, share ideas, and continuously grow as a leader. These experiences enhance the perspective and value I bring back to the club environment, while also increasing visibility and strengthening the club’s overall reputation.
Industry Involvement
Active participation within the golf industry is a key component of professional development and leadership. Through involvement in associations, events, and networking opportunities, I stay connected to best practices and emerging ideas, allowing me to continuously evolve while contributing to the advancement of the profession.
I regularly engage in industry forums such as town halls, educational seminars, and leadership summits, as well as through ongoing collaboration with fellow professionals. These experiences provide valuable opportunities to learn, share knowledge, and bring new ideas back to the club environment.
Most recently, I have taken on a leadership role within the Middle Atlantic PGA, currently serving as Secretary of the Southern Chapter while also sitting on both the Chapter Board of Directors and the Section Board of Directors. Being elected by my peers to represent their interests is a responsibility I take seriously, and it is an honor to contribute to initiatives that support and advance PGA professionals throughout the region.
Media Involvement
I view media as an opportunity to positively represent both the club and the game of golf to a broader audience. Through digital platforms, broadcast appearances, and collaborative features, I aim to communicate thoughtfully and professionally while highlighting the values and experiences that define a successful club operation.
I have been fortunate to be involved with a variety of media outlets, including Golf America TV, NBC12 Richmond, and coverage of the State Open of Virginia. These opportunities have allowed me to share insights, promote the game, and represent the club on a larger stage.
For over four years, I co-hosted a weekly golf podcast, which led to being recognized with the Middle Atlantic PGA’s Earle Hellen Sports Media Award—an honor also awarded to Scott Van Pelt the previous year. This recognition reflects my commitment to contributing to the game beyond my day-to-day role and engaging with the industry in meaningful ways.
